INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound spicy Italian chicken sausage, casing removed (regular sausage works too)*
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 8 oz lasagna noodles (I use my favorite gluten free brand linked here)
- 1 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- fresh mozzarella, sliced and blot dry with paper towel
- fresh grated parm
- fresh basil to garnish
*Note: if you are not a fan of sausage, you can use ground beef or a combo of ground beef & sausage
